The majority of insurance plans do not cover patient advocacy services.
Some Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) may reimburse advocacy-related expenses if tied to medical care. Long-term care insurance and Medicaid waiver programs sometimes cover care coordination. Certain employee-sponsored caregiving stipends and workers’ compensation insurance may provide advocacy support.
Check with your provider or employer to determine eligibility.
